Dr. Ronny Reinhardt

I am a post-doctoral researcher and lecturer at the Chair of General Management and Marketing of the FSU Jena with a Ph.D. in Business Administration and Economics from TU Dresden. Prior to joining the FSU Jena, I worked for the research group Value-Based Innovation at TU Dresden. From 2014 to 2015, I was a visiting researcher at the University of Utah, David Eccles School of Business. I started my academic career at the Chair for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at TU Dresden in 2012, where I worked until 2014.

My research currently focuses on three overlapping areas: (1) strategic management, (2) organizational behavior, and (3) innovation. My research has been published in outlets such as the Journal of Product Innovation Management, Long Range Planning, the Journal of Business Research, R&D Management, Technology Forecasting and Social Change, the Review of Managerial Science and the International Journal of Production Research.

I was fortunate to receive the Academy of Management Technology and Innovation Management Division Best Student Paper Award, the Thomas Hustad Best Paper Award, the Knut Holt Best Paper Award, the Dr.-Dietrich-Fricke-Award from the Erich-Gutenberg-Arbeitsgemeinschaft and the Special Award of the Erich-Glowatzky-Foundation for my research.

In addition to conducting research, I enjoy teaching undergraduates and graduates various topics such as innovation, marketing strategy, and data analysis. Among others, I have taught at FSU Jena, TU Dresden, Dresden International University, Lappeenranta University of Technology and NIHERST Trinidad & Tobago.

Before starting my Ph.D., I studied Business Administration and Engineering at TU Dresden, from where I graduated with a Master’s degree (Dipl.-Wi.-Ing.) and the Victor Klemperer-Certificate for outstanding academic achievements. I also briefly worked as a consultant in the logistics industry and for a start-up (now Cloud&Heat).

When I am not conducting research, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing Olympic team handball, and reading lots of online and offline newspapers.
